Fresh Garbanzo Bean Sauté
Have you ever seen fresh garbanzo beans? I first saw them this summer in the Napa Valley farmers market. These are entirely different from canned or dehydrated garbanzo beans. You can actually eat them raw after popping them out of their thin, papery, fuzzy shells.
Fresh garbanzo beans are quickly sautéed in olive oil, salt and pepper. Serve warm or room temperature on sliced French bread. If you are unable to eat traditional French bread, Udi's brand makes a great gluten-free French baguette style bread.
