New Orleans Style Barbecue Shrimp To Celebrate Easter

When I prepare New Orleans style Bar B Q shrimp for casual gatherings I always feel like I’m creating an illusion of a fancy dish.  While guest are mingling I swiftly pop this prep-ahead dish into the oven, and within minutes the aroma of butter and spices fill the air.  A few quick stirs, a run under the boiler, and the most flavorful dinner is served family style.

You don't need to use your grill for New Orleans style Bar B Q shrimp.  If you can toss ingredients together and place them in the oven, you'll have no problem making this dish.  This is a crowd pleasing recipe that can be prepped hours in advance and chilled until ready to bake.  It's a dish that should be served with plenty of French bread for dipping into the Worcestershire-spiked butter sauce.  I must admit, this is my husband's signature dish.  I have finally taken the time to watch it being prepared, and take notes for this easy recipe.  When serving New Orleans style Bar B Q shrimp we keep our dinner menu simple because our guest enjoy casually noshing on this dish while dipping bread into the flavorful sauce.  We often serve a batch of this with an enormous green salad, a large bowl filled with sliced French bread, and of course, extra napkins.
